Initiated by Jackie Roby, the Fred Roby & Angela Award is presented each year during the International Convention of the Club Magico Italiano (CMI) to a young competitor for their creativity and spirit of innovation, primarily in the field of ventriloquism, but with an open mind to all magical disciplines. The winner receives the princely sum of €2,500 and a trophy. If there are two winners, each of them receives half the prize money. The trophy features Fred Roby & Angela with their famous dog Micky (see photo below).
This prize is therefore an incentive for young magicians to live their passion, show their originality and express their emotions, in particular by taking part in competitions.
In 2023, at the 138th edition, the prize was awarded to the duo Vadim Gordeev & Elena, Spain (left), and the manipulator Sergi, Georgia (right).
Fred Roby & Angela's photo is published in all the programmes of the CMI Convention in Abano Terme.
